No water? No problem

It's been a funny ol' summer so far. In fact i wouldn't even say it's been summer.
But despite the lack of sunshine and stable weather, there's not been any rain either... Disappointing for those of us who's sport revolves around water levels!
Luckily for us, Scotland has several dam release offerings, releasing on various days throughout the summer. I haven't managed to get over to the Garry or Morriston yet this summer, two of the better venues on offer, however i headed down to the Tummel yesterday with Matt for a session on the Linn of Tummel.
The Tummel offers pretty tame kayaking for the majority of the river, suitable for beginners and offering some brilliant coaching rapids, culminating with the Linn of Tummel, where things step up a wee bit.
Multiple line choices make it a great rapid to practice different skills and the ability to walk up and run it again easily, with a big pool at the bottom should things go belly up, make it a training venue when there's not much water elsewhere.

Classic Scottish Whitewater - The Series

I've been working with Type Two Films over the last couple months to produce a short internet based mini-series on some of the classic whitewater rivers of Scotland.
It's not aimed at the most hardcore kayaking, but simply a showcase of some of the most beautiful and fun rivers around.
It's still a long while yet before we finish, but here's a sneak preview of what's to come, i hope you enjoy!
